Go figure, our daughter's hair grows at a normal rate and she loves getting her hair cut. Our son, who hates having a haircut has hair like Rapunzel. By four months old he needed a haircut, and he needs a trim every 4 weeks, 6 is pushing it. So we do occasionally take him to get professional haircuts (so expensive and painful for all involved), and in between, we (and when I say "we" I mean our nanny) cut his hair.
Here he is all wrapped up in a baby-blanket-turned-drape, looking very unhappy even though I've let him watch a TV show on the iPad.

Oh my goodness, how cute is he! I just love those swaddling blankets, so multi-purpose :)
ReplyDeleteI have never tried this at home. I kinda like my boys with long hair and the only time they really get a hair cut is when my parents or in-laws visit or when we're going to visit them- go figure.
ReplyDeletegreat idea to keep his attention! i cut emmy's hair at home. sawyer's is harder, so i handle trims, but when we really need a style, we take him in!
ReplyDeleteHaha I love the long suffering look on his face..it's like he's being tortured. So cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, he is so cute pout and all. I use to trim my kids hair, too.
ReplyDeleteWe do in-the-garage buzz cuts in the summer and in-the-tub trim ups around the ears with so much resistance that I cave at times for the $15cut. Cute hair cut!
ReplyDeleteHandsome little man!
ReplyDeleteI haven't cut my little girl's hair yet, and my little boy wears his long. Thankfully my mom does the trimming for us, most of the time. She does mine too:0)
Your babies are so cute. *sigh* I loved having little kids. Can I have one of yours?
ReplyDeletemy little guy is the same way--first haircut at 4 months, every 4 weeks since! his fingernails grow amazingly fast too ;)
ReplyDeletei'm a self-taught hairdresser for that very reason--every four weeks i line up my husband, my son and my brother. ;)
How cute is he? I know some gals that would kill for that head of hair! Enjoy your weekend, Jessica ~ xo Heidi
ReplyDeleteMy son also had his first hair cut at 4 months! And I cut his hair at home now, too. A lot easier than a trip to the barber's every month! Great minds think alike! :)
