Summer Green Smoothie

Yup, I just realized that this smoothie is pretty much the same as the baby food we give our daughter, but that's the point, right? Sneaking veggies in with something sweet:)

banana spinach strawberry smoothie

So easy- put ice (5-6 cubes), 1/2 a banana, a handful of spinach and a handful of strawberries in a blender with about 1/2  cup of water and mix. Done. You can even omit the strawberries and it's still sweet, or add in other fruits.

Our baby won't even give the messiest toy ever grimace, she will grace us with a full-on smile for this one!

And no, we don't give it to her outside in the backyard, I just like adding gratuitous kid-pictures to my posts, hi family!!!

  2. I have heard that you don't even taste the spinach. Is that true? I do like spinach but thinking of the kids who do not. good way to get some fruit and veggies!

  3. I make the same one, but add yogurt. Yum! And my baby who won't eat hardly anything actually likes them too...Go figure! I drank them every day while pregnant, so that's my guess as to why he likes then ;).

  6. I'm not a huge veggie fan, but I love them in smoothies. I love the spinach and strawberries and bananas too.

  8. I use to blend all sorts of stuff together when my oldest kids were babies. I'd freeze the goo too. Nothing says loving like a spinach Popsicle right?

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
