Black and Yellow Fall Tablescape

As a first foray into tablescaping, I'm trying it out with my new console table in our living room.

Yellow and black table decor for fall

You might not be aware that tablescaping is even a thing,

West Elm silver branch candelabra

but it is.

Oh, yes, in blog-world, your ability to decorate a tabletop is seemingly really, really important.

Ignore the part where small hands might mess things up.

Or in my case, where the small hands will redo the tablescape altogether.

Then want me to take more pictures.

It's a bit like how she now wants to take pictures of our food before dinner remember the peanut butter sauce?

In case you were wondering, the branch candelabra I picked up on sale at West Elm 2 weeks ago, the design books I read in 1 day in an eye-candy frenzy, the candlesticks, black vase and throw are from Ikea, and the basket below the table, is the same one we use for scooter storage in the dining room.

  4. How sweet is your daughter and her help, right?

And that whole tablescaping and mantelscaping thing is a new phenomenon to me too. Oh, and I'm terrible at it. Horrible. Horrific compositions ... which is why I don't post about it ...

    :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
