Fort Building

Even though we are starting to get a bit of a chill to the air, we still spend as much time as we can outside on our deck.

My three year old loves to build forts, and since I won't let him do that with the Crate and Barrel pillows in the living room that I stalked for a year til they went on sale, the outdoor couch is the perfect spot for this.

I'm thinking of letting the fort building get a bit more elaborate, maybe add a blanket, see where it goes...

As the son of two trained architects, we are so proud of his building skills, he even makes sure to create a "strong foundation of concrete".

  3. Fun! My sister and I used to cheat and put up our camping tents in our room. We had so much fun playing in them.

  4. Awwww - what a blast! Your deck is such a great spot ….and how much fun are forts?? Over school vacations my kids build elaborate forts that we leave up for the whole week. You're only a kid once!

  6. Just came over from 6th Street. Your home is great. Love the balance of function and form. I had a visceral reaction to your kitchen. GREAT WORK!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
