Moving and a Shakin': Installing a Baby Gate

See that movement?

Peek a boo, I see you under the table!

I also see your little tushie crawling AWAY from me!

Which means that this death trap of a staircase from the playroom to the mudroom needs a baby gate asap.

I installed a gate perpendicular to the top of the stairs, so that in case it comes down the baby just falls onto the landing area, not all the way down twelve vertical feet of stairs to a hard tile floor at the bottom.

All done.

Nothing fancy, but so needed in our home. This is about as much childproofing as I'm doing for #3. The chemicals are away, and she can't reach the knife drawer, so I'm good for a while.

  4. This is the second "baby proofing" thing I have read today. Just thought I would share with you the first posting I read in case you haven't already done it. :)

  5. She is so adorable!! We have one of those gates at the top of our stairs too. Even though my two year olds can now go up and down the stairs safely it still comes in handy- mainly so they can't get up in the morning and go downstairs while all of us are sleeping and trip the alarm. That was a good idea to stick yours at the landing area- extra safe!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
