Halloween Clementines

Halloween Clementines
It's getting to be all orange and black everywhere, and it was time for me to bring a little bit of fun to my son's lunchbox.

Halloween treat in a lunchbox

On Fridays, my dad picks him up from preschool and they have a picnic lunch in the park and play.

Today, he gets a little treat.

Use a Sharpie to make a jack-lantern face on a clementine
I used a Sharpie to draw the face onto a clementine. So easy and I hope my dad takes a picture of my little one's face when he sees this:)

In case you are wondering what he gets in his lunch, today it's chicken salad, apples with almond butter, pineapple spears and blackberries, water and the clementine.

  4. I have to remember this and I love clementines. Sadly there aren't any around here...yet.

  5. A couple of years ago when I was a room mom we brought in a bunch of these to the class Halloween party. You'd be surprised how many kids wanted a piece of fruit. I think they were sick of the sugar!

  6. So cute--and easy too! What a fun and unexpected way to celebrate the season without spending any money. I try not to get caught up in all the decorations, costumes, and candies I see in the stores. Sometimes the simple things make the best memories. :)

    Nice post!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love hearing what you have to say! Sometimes I'm busy chasing after the three kids who can walk, or feeding the baby, but I promise, at some point I'll get back to you and head over to your blog (if you have one) to leave you a comment too:)
