Our garage is still holding quite a few building materials left over from the construction a year ago. You never know when you might need some extra tile, or hardwood floor baords, or a shop-vac, or 12 ladders. OK, not 12, we have 5. Five! Way too many. Oh and an elliptical machine from my brother-in-law. And of course all the kid paraphenalia, extra car seats, 3 strollers, scooters, tricycles, a two-wheeler with training wheels...
Skis.
A drop cloth laid out as if I might start srpay painting at any moment.
Enter, Home Depot, savior of the garage. I'm not endorsing them specifically, just that they are our closest home improvement store, and we were wandering the aisles in search of a solution to the large-scale clutter.
We settled on the Rubbermaid FastTrack
System, which is awesome. You just hang the rail up on the wall, then snap on whatever acccessories you need. We used a combination of a Bike Hook for the two-wheeler (it can also hold grown up bikes), the Multi-Purpose Hook for scooters, and the
Utility Hook for helmets and for hanging the umbrella stroller.
So much better. Now I can get from the car to the door without tripping!

Very nice! I guess on a rainy day they can ride their bikes and scooters around the garage!? Does you little one like the tricycle with the parent handle? I'm thinking about getting one.
We so need to do this in our garage. I love that rubbermaid thing. I am constantly moving the bikes from next to my car.
my husband built a bike rack...at times there would be 15 bikes in our garage!! and keeping them upright was a challenge..the rack was a stroke of genius!
Wonderful! We just cleaned our garage on Sunday, and boy was it a chore, but now everytime I go in there, it looks so nice and clean. So it was well worth it!
It's the little things that make all the difference don't they? OK, I think I need to do a post about my garage just so you'll feel so proud of yours. First of all mine is about 100 years old, second of all, I think it used to be a chicken coup. You get the idea....
We bought the same system to hang up all of our shovels, rakes, etc. It works great!
Oh I need that!
We used this system in the garage of our last house and loved it! Now we don't have a garage...so all the "garage stuff" is shoved into the basement. It makes me a little crazy. Yours looks so nice and organized!

How neat it looks! Don't you just love organization? Such good ideas.
Hope you'll visit me..

I'm so glad to see how you were able to get the scooters off of the floor. We don't have much extra space in our garage and the scooters, tricycles and bikes take up way to much floor space. Thank you for sharing. Gotta go get some of those hooks!
Even your garage is pretty!!
Looks so nice! We really need to get in and clean out the garage...you tend to forget about the garage.
Ilove rubbermaid & OXO products.
Looks great!
I so need one of these. I swear I'm gonna fall and break my neck one day tripping over my daughter's scooter that she leaves right in front of the door when she comes in the house.
